We began our journey early in the morning, taking the Geelong Highway route. Passing through stunning landscapes, the drive was smooth and surrounded by lush greenery. The weather was absolutely perfect – clear skies and a gentle breeze πŸŒ¬️☀️, setting the tone for an amazing day ahead.


 

On our way, we stumbled upon adorable roadside stalls πŸ“πŸ₯š run by local farmers offering fresh organic eggs, juicy raspberries, and seasonal fruits. The kindness of the locals and the quality of the produce added a delightful touch to our journey. Make sure to stop by and grab some of these wholesome goodies! πŸ¬❤️

Arriving in Daylesford, we headed straight to Hotel Frangos, a popular spot bustling with energy. The entire street was alive with people exploring cafes and shops.

                 

From the moment we stepped into the entrance, we were greeted by a delightful blend of sophistication and warmth. The sitting area was beautifully designed, both at the front and back of the hotel, offering cozy spots to relax amidst vibrant sceneries and artistic touches.

   

When the bar tempts you on the right πŸΈπŸ˜‰… but the real destination is the table full of pizza and coffee! Priorities, right? πŸ˜„πŸ•☕

   


Inside, the ambience was captivating – every corner showcased stunning wall hangings and intricate artwork, creating a perfect harmony of elegance and creativity. The back area boasted a serene atmosphere, while the convenient parking facility added a touch of practicality to our visit. 

  


Despite the crowd, we were lucky enough to snag a table for all eight of us (four couples and two adorable kids). We ordered a delicious vegetarian pizza with coffees – the taste was absolutely divine and worth every moment of the wait!



While we waited, Ranjot and Mehnoor Bhabhi indulged in some shopping, picking up adorable tea, sugar, and coffee containers. Exploring the vibrant streets during this time made the experience even more delightful.

Next, we headed to the historic Daylesford Railway Station, home to heritage train rides and a fascinating railway museum. 


 


   


 


I missed the heritage train πŸš‚ (oops! πŸ˜…)-the last train passed by – a bittersweet moment but made the most of my time at the station’s museum! πŸ›️ From vintage railway artifacts to fascinating stories mentioned on posters, it was a perfect way to step into the past. If you’re planning to catch the train, make sure to reserve your tickets in advance to avoid any last-minute scrambling! πŸŽŸ️✨Trust me, it’s worth the ride!

Relaxing at Lake Daylesford πŸŒŠ❤️


Our final stop was the serene Lake Daylesford, a perfect spot to unwind. The kids had a blast playing, and the scenic views provided a tranquil escape from everyday life. The lake is surrounded by a few treks and home to adorable ducks paddling around. Watching little ones confidently steering boats while I, a non-swimmer, hesitated – it was both humbling and inspiring. πŸ˜‚


 

We ended our lake visit with ice cream in hand, engaging in heartfelt conversations and soaking in the peace around us. It was a moment of pure joy and connection that words can barely capture. πŸ¦πŸŒŸ


On our return journey, we took the Sunbury and Gisborne route, enjoying a slightly different yet equally beautiful scenic drive back home. 


πŸŒΏπŸš— The highlight? Coming across a charming home with a stunning vintage car parked outside – it was the perfect end to our adventure! Classic vibes all around, and I absolutely loved it! πŸ˜ Australia’s streets are filled with these timeless beauties, and I can't get enough of them! πŸ˜Ž✨
